2022 AsRES-AREUEA Joint Conference in Tokyo on August 4-7, 3rd call for paper

We’d like to announce the Third Call for Papers of “The 26th AsRES Annual Conference: 2022 AsRES-AREUEA Joint Conference, Tokyo, Japan (hereafter AsRES 2022)” as attached.

Now, all three-time vaccinated participants who tested negative (*1, *2 in the attachment) - except those coming from the designated countries and regions listed below (*3) - have “basically ZERO” quarantine days upon arriving in Japan. Also, the participants can accompany people to Japan as well. (*4, *5 for quarantine periods.) But still, all participants are supposed to apply for a visa to enter Japan. No worries! The Tokyo team will take care of preparing and sending the necessary documents once your registration is completed. (You will receive the documents within about 10-14 days after registration.)

With these improved conditions with respect to entering Japan, we’d appreciate it if you would reconsider coming to the Tokyo conference on August 4-7. With this in mind, we’d like to extend the submission deadline from April 15 to April 30. Accordingly, the notification date of accepted papers will be extended to May 20.

On the other hand, we sincerely understand that some friends prefer attending online. Of course, you are also welcome to attend the Tokyo conference online. Online participants can enjoy keynote speeches & panels via the Internet on Day 1. Also, they will present their papers on virtual-only Day 4. (We might let Day 3 be virtual-only as well, depending on the number of submissions.)

Two Options to Submit Your Abstract and Paper
As AsRES 2022 will be jointly held with AREUEA, authors have two options to submit their abstract and paper.
• AsRES Only: Submit your abstract by April 30 in order to have your paper included in AsRES sessions. If your abstract qualifies and also if you submit your paper by July 4, you will present at AsRES sessions.
• AREUEA-AsRES Two-Step Review: Submit your full paper or a detailed abstract along with some preliminary results by April 30 to be considered for an AREUEA session. AREUEA will screen papers by single-blind review. If a submission is not selected for an AREUEA session, it will be automatically considered for an AsRES session.
